About Me

In the spring of 2023, eighteen years into my career as an in-house designer (spent mostly in higher education and print media group settings), I took the plunge into full-time freelance work. In that short time, I have had the distinct honor to take on work of all shapes and sizes for more than sixty clients in four states, from one-man repair shops and small construction firms, to several nonprofits large and small, to municipal jobs and projects for primary schools, high schools, airports, churches, colleges and universities. No job is too big or too small, and I would love to get to know you.

When I’m not designing, I’m a [brooding] singer-songwriter. I released my first solo album back in 2004, back when I was living in Charlotte, NC. I’ve shared the stage with some great North Carolinians like Caitlin Cary (Tres Chicas, Whiskeytown), Leisure McCorkle, and Mike Mitschele (HBO’s “The Righteous Gemstones”). Since moving to Alabama, I’ve played solo engagements on some pretty neat stages, including The Orion Amphitheater, Mars Music Hall, and Tangled String Studios. In December, 2017, I co-founded a band called The Silver Silos. We have had the pleasure and great fortune to play many of the available stages and festivals in the Huntsville, Alabama metro, and have been featured in festival lineups alongside national touring acts like JJ Grey and Mofro, Microwave Dave & the Nukes and more. Our first album “Alabama Stars” is due for release in Spring, 2025.
